One the first Assignments in the Graduate certificate of ICT is to:
"Create a WebQuest (problem based series of web lessons) for use in a school classroom.
The WebQuest when delivered to the students would be completed over a 2 or 3 week learning period and the design and opportunities for learning would be appropriate for the intended age range (K to Year 12). Younger age groups would have a shorter time frame with the teacher, but probably on a more regular basis than a group of older High School students. The timeframe details for delivery of your WebQuest are to be included in the initial plan.
You may choose any content or curriculum area, but it is advised (but not mandatory) you choose a single discipline field. Creating a multidisciplinary WebQuest requires a more advanced level of skill than expected to be developed in the timeframe of this subject module.
The target student group experiencing the WebQuest, should have analysed a body of knowledge, transformed it and demonstrated an understanding of the material by creating something others can respond to, either online or offline."
Below are some examples of WebQuests that Teachers submitted in semester 1, 2006.
Each webquest is stored in a ZIP file. Click on an image to download a WebQuest. You will need to extract it to somewhere on your computer to view it properly.
We would like to thank the teachers for making their work available for you to view.
